one shot Sonadow

me: Quick author note, this one-shot Sonadow story takes place during SA2B(Sonic Adventure 2 Battle) when Sonic get's shot out into space by Eggman, but Eggman takes a precaution and ties Sonic up. Well hope you like.(god it's been forever since the last time I've done one of these)

Sonic sat in a pod that was heading towards the planet. 'I can't believe this! Eggman's gonna pay! That is, if I can get out of here.' Sonic thought. He was tied up while the fake Chaos Emerald he planed to give Eggman sat in front of him.
"If I could just reach the emerald. Maybe I could try and use Chaos Control." Sonic said to himself. But no matter what Sonic did, he couldn't reach the emerald. That's when Sonic noticed something. 'Is that... a count down for a bomb!?' Sonic thought. 'If I can't reach the emerald...then I'm doomed.' Sonic thought as he folded his ears back. Sonic looked down while small tears started forming in his eyes. Suddenly a light appeared in front of Sonic. Sonic looked up to see a black, red and white hedgehog standing infront of him. 'Shadow!?' Sonic thought as he was surprised. Shadow picked Sonic up in his arms.
"I'm getting you out of here before this pod explodes." Shadow said.
"Wait! The emerald!" Sonic said, looking down at the fake emerald. Shadow picked up the emerald.
"Chaos Control!" Shadow said as he and Sonic disappeared from the pod, just before the pod exploded. Sonic and Shadow reappeared in a room, just under the main control room on the A.R.K. Shadow then sat Sonic down.
"I'll be right back. I'm gonna find something to cut those ropes." Shadow said as he walked out. Sonic just sat where he was. 'Why is Shadow helping me?' Sonic thought. Sonic shook the thought out of his head and tried breaking out of the ropes that were tied tightly on him. Sonic's eyes widen after a minute as his arms started hurting badly. Sonic shut his eyes as small tears started going down his muzzle. 'D-Damn! These ropes are on tight! I...I can't break out without cutting my arms!' Sonic thought. Shadow walked back in with a small knife as he sat down next to Sonic and started cutting the ropes. Sonic hid his tears from Shadow, he didn't want Shadow thinking he was weak. Shadow was done cutting the ropes a few minutes later. That's when Shadow noticed that Sonic's arms were cut by the ropes, like he was trying to break them before. Sonic stood up, holding the emerald in one of his hands.
"Thanks Shadow." Sonic said as he started walking toward the door. But right as Sonic opened the door, a robot drop down behind Sonic and ran it's claws through Sonic's back. Sonic's eyes widen as he felt intense pain run through his body.
"AHHHHHHHHH!" Sonic screamed in pain as he fell forward. The robot stepped in front of Sonic, ready to grab his wrist. But Shadow stood up and did a Homing attack on the robot. Shadow turned around and kneeled down next to Sonic.
"Are you ok Sonic?" Shadow asked, very worried about the injured hedgehog. Sonic didn't answer. He just laid there, his eyes shut tightly and whimpering quietly in pain. Shadow carefully picked Sonic up in his arms. Shadow started worrying more when he felt Sonic shaking badly, not from fear or coldness, but from pain. Shadow started walking down the hall, Sonic still in his arms. 'Poor guy. It looks like he got hurt pretty badly.' Shadow thought as he looked at Sonic. Sonic opened his eyes a little and looked up at Shadow. Sonic was a little surprised when he saw that Shadow's eye were warm and caring.
"Sh-Shadow?" Sonic asked, his voice a bit weak from the pain he still felt.
"Don't talk Sonic. Your hurt." Shadow said in a caring voice. Sonic still looked at him with his eyes half-opened. Then Sonic wrapped his arms around Shadow's waist as he closed his eyes again. Shadow gave a small smile. Soon Shadow was in front of a room. 'Here we are. The doctor won't find Sonic here.' Shadow thought as he still held Sonic, who had fallen asleep. Shadow opened the door and walked in. The door closed behind Shadow as he turned on the lights. Shadow wrapped up the cuts on Sonic's arms and back. Then Shadow carefully placed Sonic on the bed that was in the room. Sonic opened his eyes again and looked at Shadow.
"Sonic your hurt, you need your rest." Shadow said.
"I-I need t-to st-stop the Eclipse Cannon." Sonic said as he tried to sit up. Shadow gently pushed Sonic back onto the bed.
"Let me. Your too weak." Shadow said. Sonic still looked at Shadow.
"O-Ok." Sonic said. Then Sonic gave Shadow the fake Chaos Emerald.
"Put this in the place of the seventh Chaos Emerald." Sonic said as Shadow took the emerald.
"Ok. Now just go back to sleep." Shadow said. Sonic gave a small nod as he closed his eyes and fell asleep. Shadow gave a small smile as he walked out of the room.

few hours later------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shadow walked back into the room and saw that Sonic was still asleep. Shadow gave a small smile as he sat down nest to Sonic and watched him sleep. Shadow started stroking Sonic's quills as Sonic slept. Sonic gave a small smile. Shadow still smiled. 'I'm glade he's starting to feel better now.' Shadow thought. Shadow carefully picked Sonic up in his arms and hugged him close. Sonic still smiled as he felt Shadow hug him. Sonic opened his eyes a bit and looked at Shadow.
"D-Did you...?" Sonic started.
"Yes. So you don't have to worry." Shadow said.
"Shadow... Wh-why are you helping me?" Sonic asked. Shadow was silent for a few minutes as he still held Sonic.
"I guess..." Shadow started as he very lightly tighten his grip on Sonic.
"I just... can't stand seeing you hurt." Shadow said as he closed his eyes. Sonic wrapped his arms around Shadow again. That's when a huge explosion was heard outside the room.
"What the hell?" Shadow said as he looked towards the door. Shadow let go of Sonic and walked twords the door.
"Who's there?" Shadow asked.
"Nice try in hiding Sonic. Now hand him over." a voice said from the other side of the door. Sonic folded his ears down as he knew the voice.
"Eggman." Sonic whispered. Shadow ran back over to Sonic and picked him up in his arms.
"Your not getting him doctor! I won't let you hurt him anymore then you have!" Shadow said. Sonic just looked at Shadow.
"I'm gonna get you back to your friends." Shadow whispered to Sonic.
"What about you?" Sonic asked. Shadow gave a small smile.
"I'll be fine. Don't worry." Shadow said.
"Chaos Control." Shadow said as he and Sonic disappeared. Then they reappeared just outside of the main control room.
"I want you to be carful now. Ok?" Shadow said as he let Sonic's feet on the ground, but still holding him.
"O-Ok." Sonic said.
"Good." Shadow said as he leaned his face closer to Sonic's. Sonic's muzzle started turing red as he blushed. Shadow connected his lips with Sonic's in a kiss. Sonic was still blushing and was surprised at what Shadow was doing, but he deepened the kiss. They kissed for what felt like hours. Shadow finally broke the kiss and looked into Sonic's eyes while Sonic looked into his.
"Now go back to your friends and show them your alright." Shadow said.
"Ok. I love you Shadow." Sonic said with a smile.
"I love you too Sonic." Shadow said, smiling too as he let go of Sonic. Sonic walked into the main control room to his friends. 'Becareful Sonic.' Shadow thought.
